Tommy R. Buzard of Wichita, Kansas formerly of Coffeyville, entered his eternal resting place, on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Via Christi St. Frances Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

Tom was born to Thomas G. and Rachel (Henderson) Buzard on March 16, 1948 in Coffeyville, Kansas. He graduated from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas in 1966. On January 21, 1967 Tom married the love of his life, Barbara K. (Shufelt) Buzard in Edna, Kansas, having just celebrated 50 years of marriage. Tom continued his education at Coffeyville Community College completing his associate's degree in 1968.

Tom worked in sales and especially enjoyed dealing in antiques. He owned and operated an antique shop for a while in Neodesha, Kansas. Tom's passion for antique furniture and glassware lead to attending auctions and grew into a collection of friends over the years. The sharing of stories of their collections and memories of how they acquired those lost treasures were worth more than the items themselves because of the friendships were built. Additional hobbies of Tom's over the years included bowling, 55' 56' 57' Chev Club, Studebaker Club and Depression Glass Club. Tom currently was a member of the Assembly of God (Maranatha Worship Center) of Wichita, Kansas where he and Barbara have attended for the last 10 years.
Coaching his son Brian's baseball team starting with T-Ball and on to Little League was absolutely one of the most pleasurable times of his life. Tom enjoyed and took great pride in Brian's athletic accomplishments. Then came his granddaughters, Karsyn and Sophia, he absolutely adored them. Tom enjoyed watching either athletic involvements, they were the apple of his eye.

His memory will live on through, his wife, Barbara of the home; son, Brian and his wife Jayme; sisters, Sharon Pruitt and her husband, Jim, Joyce Ferwalt and her husband John; granddaughters, Karsyn and Sophia Buzard. He was precede in death by his parents.

All of Tom's life he wanted to help people and had made it clear he wanted to be a donor. Through his donation it is expected over 5o people will benefit.

Funeral services celebrating Tom's life will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 2:30 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. The family will receive friends from 1pm to service time. To Brian-Just heard the news, sorry for the delay in this condolence. I will always remember the dedication your father had to you-he never missed a practice or a game. I haven't talked to you in years but still often think about you, Mike Barnhill, and I going to my grandparents house after school to watch cartoons and eat cookies. I am sorry for you and your mother's loss, and hope to see you someday.
