Longtime Coffeyville resident, Betty Marie Wood, 89, passed away at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas on November 10, 2018.
Betty Marie Wood was born an only child on August 25, 1929 in Brush, Colorado to Lawrence and Marie Noland. Betty married Dean Wood on July 1, 1972 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Through the years Betty worked as an EEG/EKG Tech at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and as an X-Ray Tech for Dr. Allen Gillis’ office. In 1985, when Dean retired Betty decided it was time for her to also retire and enjoy her time with her husband and family. Betty loved to spend her free time reading a variety of books, crocheting and volunteer at local charities.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Dean Wood, son, Roger Wood, and daughter, Becky Marritt.
Those left to cherish Betty’s memory, son, Larry and wife Paula Wood of Douglas, KS, daughters, Linda and husband Curtiss George of Coffeyville, KS, Deana and husband Gary Nellen of Radcliff, KY, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Howard Cemetery in Goodman, MO on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00pm. The family has requested that memorials may be left in Betty’s name to the Alzheimer Association. Memorials may be left at Ford Wulf Bruns Chapel.
