Dennis W. Antle age 64 passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at CRMC in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Dennis was born on December 29, 1957, in Junction City, Kansas to Don and Sarah (Cullison) Antle. He was one of three sons born to that union. Don and Sarah later divorced. Dennis and his brothers grew up in the Coffeyville, Dearing area where he attended grade school and high school. After an injury Dennis moved back to Junction City his senior year to live with his dad where he graduated from Junction City High School. After graduating he moved back to Coffeyville to attend Coffeyville Community College. In August of 1977 Dennis proudly enlisted in the US Air Force and continued his service career with the Air National Guard and Kansas Army National Guard. He received an honorable medical discharge in February of 1984.
Dennis had many jobs in his civilian career, he managed Eggbert’s in Coffeyville, prior to Eggbert’s he worked as a sheet metal operator at Halliburton Services, and he was also employed by Acme Foundry working as a maintenance mechanic. Dennis was a self-taught carpenter, building beautiful cabinetry in the kitchen of his home. He enjoyed working outside and had just recently purchased a John Deere tractor that he enjoyed operating even if it was just riding around the yard. Dennis was also an accomplished and published song writer.
Dennis shared his life with some special women, though they didn’t always see eye to eye they parted but still respected each other. His true love Gail preceded him in death in 1990. Dennis met and married Kimberly, though their marriage didn’t last their friendship remained invaluable and they talked every day. Two forever special ladies in his life were his daughter, Shannon that was the sunshine in his life and his mom who always love him unconditionally. His mom, Sarah married John Saner in 1988, he and Dennis had a special relationship.
Those left to cherish is memory is his daughter, Shannon Beye of the home, grandsons, Tanner Lowe, Tyler Lowe and Jordan Lowe, five step great-grandchildren, brother, Curtis Antle, several nieces, a nephew, cousins, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Douglas Antle; and just five days after his death his stepfather, John Saner passed away.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS with Pastor Charles Pitts officiating. Dennis will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery, McConnell Air Force Honor Guard and VFW Post 1022 & American Legion Post 20 will provide Military Honors. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14, from 5 to 7pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. The family has requested memorial contributions to be made payable to the Wounded Warrior Project and may be left in care of the funeral home.
