Allan Dean Waits

Allan Dean Waits of Coffeyville passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at his home under the care of the wonderful staff of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.

Allan was born August 30, 1956, to Justus R and Joan Fay (Shaw) Waits in Wichita, Kansas.

In July 1981 Allan married Stephanie Pigeon. They had two daughters. They later divorced. 

In December 2009 Allan married Pamela Jean Humphrey, who survives at the home.

Allan was a caring, loving person, and at times could be very funny. He really enjoyed his grandchildren when they came to visit. He was a good mechanic, carpenter, and welder. He could build or repair almost anything.

He worked for Cylx Corp until he retired after 31 years. He later got a part-time job at Ace Hardware, which he really enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Donna, and Debbie.

He is survived by his wife Pam, two beautiful daughters, Shannon and husband B.J. Jackson, and Kristal and husband Justin Fowler. He is alsq survived by six wonderful grandchildren and four step-grandchildren and his girl Friday, his faithful 4-legged companion.

Allan’s request was to be cremated under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel and for his family to lay him to rest privately in Colorado where he loved to visit.   The family requests that memorial contributions made in Allan’s memory be made payable to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
