Arlene May (Countryman) Chandler age 67 of Coffeyville passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Windsor Place.

Arlene was born on June 6, 1950 in Beaver, Oklahoma to Harold and Mary (Kaup) Countryman. She grew up around the Kingman, Kansas area graduating from Kingman High School in 1968. She married David Clayton Chandler later that same year and of that union they had 3 children; 2 sons David M. Chandler, Brian K. Chandler and 1 daughter, Rachel (Chandler) Wolfe; the couple later divorced.

Arlene worked in local nursing homes as a laundry and dietary aide. She married James Romines and they were together for many, many years before divorcing. Arlene continued to work as a certified nurse's assistant until she became disabled. She married Dennis Antle and divorced a few years later. She loved going to church as often as possible and attended several churches throughout the community. Her second love only to Jesus was her kids and grandkids, she loved babysitting for them, visiting with her family and friends, trips to the casino and listening to music, writing poetry and songs.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Rachel and husband Les Wolfe of Alva, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Amber and husband Randy Casterline, their boys Hayden and Hunter Bates, Tucker and Jaxon Casterline of Coffeyville, Kansas; grandson, Blake Dunsing and fiancé Alexis George of Stillwater, Oklahoma; step grandson, Leslie James Ray Wolfe of Peru, Kansas; two sisters, one being her twin Darlene Countryman of Edna, Kansas and Betty Eveleigh of Coffeyville, Kansas; three brothers, Rick Countryman of Hutchinson, Kansas, Denny Countryman and Jim Countryman and wife Donna all of Dearing, Kansas; many nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by both of her sons, David and Brian Chandler. Brian of whom she took care of at home for more than 20 years after a life changing motor cycle accident; her parents, Harold and Mary Countryman; a brother, Larry Countryman and sister Judy Wichert.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10 am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas, officiated by Pastor Kevin Fogarty of the Chautauqua Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery north of Coffeyville. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 5 to 7 pm. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses. A special thank you to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice of Coffeyville.
