Billie Morgan

Billie Jo Morgan, 85, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Billie Jo was born on March 13, 1930 in Craig County, Oklahoma to Irvin and Verdna (Jones) Rexwinkle. She grew up in Craig County where she attended Plainview grade school and graduated from Altamont High School.

On July 13, 1950 she married the love of her life, Kenneth "Eugene" Morgan in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The couple made their home in rural South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Billie Jo filled her days caring for her family and their home. She enjoyed tending her vegetable garden, sewing and making quilts for the family and made the best coconut cream pie.

She was a member of the Nowata County Home Extension, the Leader of the Ideal 4-H Club of Craig County and was a member of the Bowling League in Coffeyville, Kansas. Most of all she loved the time she spent surround by her family and friends.

Surviving to honor her memory is her loving husband, Eugene of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; children, Kelvin Morgan and wife, Susan of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Belinda Compston and husband, Dave of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christal Whaley and husband, Brett, David Compston and wife, Jennifer, Jennifer Johnson and husband, Billy, Russell Compston and wife, Cassity, Dalton Morgan, Caitlin Dilldine and husband, Blade and Landon Morgan and wife, Emily; great grandchildren, Mackynzie Compston, Chaszity Compston, Cierra Chuleewah, Cheyenne Chuleewah, Riley Johnson, Ashlyn Whaley, Austin Whaley, Charlee Jo Whaley, Evelyn Compston, Ethan Compston, Rylan Compston, Adalyn Compston and Afton Dilldine; brother, Ivan Rexwinkle and wife, Barbara of Chetopa, Kansas; sisters, Jean Harden of Coffeyville, Kansas, Colleen Hoppock of Derby, Kansas and Karen Pogue and husband, Jack of Miami, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will follow at North Edna Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family will greet friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made payable to Journey Home, 3406 Kentucky, Bartlesville, OK 74006; these may also be left with the funeral home.
