BOB G. LOFFER 1928-2005 Bob G. Loffer, age 77, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away early Tuesday morning, September 13, 2005 at his residence in Coffeyville. Bob was born January 23, 1928 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Elisha D. and Jessie L. Bromley Loffer. He attended Field Kindley High School and graduated in 1948. He married Phyllis Allen on December 25, 1950 in Treece, Kansas. He worked at Farmland Industries from 1948 until the time he retired in 1985. He purchased Convenient Food Mart in 1985 and sold it in 1990. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville. He was also a member of Operating Engineers Local 123, Church Choir, Young Seniors Sunday School and served on the Deacon Board. He loved golf and enjoyed high school and college sports and working with his hands doing wrought iron work. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, of the home in Coffeyville; one son, John R. Loffer of Coffeyville; two daughters, Annette Harbaugh and Amy Sallee, both of Coffeyville; one sister, Marilyn Hevel of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter Susan; eight brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf Bruns Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 16, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. The family has suggested memorial contributions to the Pioneer Kansas Chapter of the American Red Cross or the First Baptist Church and these remembrances may be left in care of the funeral home.
