C.V. Robby Robinson, 85, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Medicalodge of Coffeyville.

Robby was born on February 19, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Venita Ball Robinson. His family moved to Coffeyville in 1936. He received his high school education from Field Kindley Memorial High School.

On February 17, 1949 he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Helen Jean Lay in Coffeyville, Kansas. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2006. The couple made Coffeyville their home. From January 3, 1951 until February 26, 1957 he served his country in the United States Army earning the rank of Sergeant.

Robby worked as a Boiler Maker and Welder for the majority of his life. He was a member of the Boiler Makers Union and traveled all over the country for his work. In later years he spent quite a bit of time farming. He was also a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

Robby enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, playing poker with his family, dancing, race cars, motorcycles, and most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his family.

Surviving to honor his memory is his daughter, Tammy A. Chanley of Lenexa, Kansas grandchildren, Megan and Zack Goodwin, Crystal and Cody White, Patrick Robinson, Rachel and Braden Cessna, Toby Grigg, Jensen Robinson, Lane Dickson greatgrandchildren, Briar, Hawk and Wren Goodwin, Cooper and Boone White, Bailey Cessna, and Jaycee Colclasure.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean parents, William and Venita sons, Steve, Bill and Tom Robinson and a sister, Nadine Robinson.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Father Steve Thapwa will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday, September 15, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville to sign the guest register. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Knights of Columbus these may be left with the funeral home.
