Carmen Lee Wilhelms passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017 at her home in Coffeyville, Kansas surrounded by her loving family.

Carmen was born on September 16, 1932 in Osborne, Kansas to Roy and Nellie (Cooper) Greig. She grew up in Osborne, Kansas and graduated high school in 1952. After graduating, she moved to Salina, Kansas and worked at a Café for a few years. She then returned to Osborne to Work at Duckwall's Department Store. After marriage she relocated to Phillipsburg, Kansas and worked at Montgomery Ward and Modern Business until 1983 when she and her husband Marvin moved to Coffeyville, Kansas.
Carmen was joined in marriage with Marvin Wilhelms on January 18, 1958 in Phillipsburg, Kansas. They were happily married for 59 years.

Carmen was an active member of the St Paul's Lutheran Church in Coffeyville. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening, and traveling, cooking, and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carmen was preceded in death by her parents Roy N. and Nellie Merle (Cooper) Greig, her sister, Caron; brother, Keith Greig; her infant son, Kevin Wilhelms; her sister in law, Ruth Greig; brother in law, Raymond Hackerott; two nephews, Baby Douglas and Baby Hackerott, also preceded her in death.

Carmen is survived by her loving husband Marvin, her son, Jim (Jenelle) Wilhelms, grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, (Kristina Wright), Kimberly Wilhelms and Joshua DeRosa as well as her great grandchildren, De'Andrian, Rylan, Chloe, Jacob and Jesse.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 506 W. 9th, Coffeyville, Kansas. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 14, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS 67337. The family has requested memorial contribution be made payable to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, contributions may be left in care of the chapel.
