Carol Ann Hoover, 76, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Carol was born on October 5, 1938 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Harry and Minnie (Kerrins) Romines. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended school.

On April 3, 1954 she married the love of her life, Jerry D. Hoover. The couple made Coffeyville their home. The couple had four children, Debbie, Connie, Mickey and Terry. In addition to taking care of the house and children Carol worked at Jolly Kids then later was hired as one of the first female machinists for Funk Manufacturing she retired in 1998 after 25 years.

Carol was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a wonderful cook who enjoyed hosting Sunday lunches for the family. In their younger years she and Jerry enjoyed going on motorcycle trips. She was an avid shopper and knew just where to find the best bargains and discounts. She loved spending her time attending all the grandkids sporting events. Most of all she enjoyed the time she spent with family and friends.

Surviving to honor her memory are her children, Debbie Adams and husband, Randy, Connie Robson and husband, Russell E., Mickey Hoover and wife, Donna all of Coffeyville, Kansas; grandchildren, Rocky Adams and wife, Sally, Dusty Adams and wife, Patty, Stephanie Stringer and husband, Brad, Russell A. Robson, Ryan Robson and wife, Jayne, Jason Hoover and wife, Valerie, Jeremy Hoover all of Coffeyville, Kansas, Chelsi Hoover-Godwin of Ozark, Arkansas; seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; brothers, Bob Romines, Jim Romines, Rick Buie all of Coffeyville, Kansas, Greg Buie, Kaye Buie; sister, Linda Jones and husband, Marvin of Strickler, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Minnie; loving husband, Jerry; son, Terry Hoover; granddaughter, Cheyenne Hoover; brother, Eugene Romines and sister, Georgia Crow.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Ford Hall will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Friends may call on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made payable to the First Church of the Nazarene or to the Coffeyville Recreation Center Buddy Ball Program; these may also be left with the funeral home.
