Carolyn Howard

Carolyn Sue Howard, 70, of Coffeyville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 8, 2016.

She was born on August 2, 1946 in Coffeyville to Hazel Aline Stark and was raised by her mother and stepfather Arthur Stark, Sr., she grew up in Coffeyville, KS where she graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1964. She went on to earn her cosmetology license from Independence Beauty College. Carolyn co-owned and worked at Lenn's Drive In in Coffeyville until it closed in 1975. She enjoyed reading her Bible, attending church, and being a mom and grandmother. She enjoyed working with children and was a Cub Scout leader. She was united in marriage to Leonard Howard on August 2, 1965 at the First Assembly of God in Coffeyville, KS.

Survivors include her husband Leonard Howard and Preston Howard of the home, daughter Debra Axon and son Vincent Howard of Coffeyville, daughter Wendy Riley of Dewey, OK; sister Virginia Allison, brother, Arthur Stark of Coffeyville, brother, Bill Collins of South Coffeyville, OK, 7 granddaughters, 1 grandson, and 1 great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her mother and her brother Stephen Stark.
