Charles Ray "Chuck" Duffy of Owasso, OK passed away Thursday July 23, 2015. He was 86. Chuck was born December 18, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois and was raised by his beloved grandmother, Lillian Smith, after his mother passed away when he was 18 months old.

He joined the United States Navy and was proud to serve his country. In 1952, he was living in Coffeyville, Kansas where he met the love of his life, Dolores Gabel. After dating less than two months they married. Their union lasted over 63 years.

Chuck worked hard his entire life. He owned a Sinclair Service Station in Coffeyville, KS for several years. He was a buyer for Cities Service where he retired. He also was a driver for Sinclair Oil Company in Tulsa, OK. After retirement he took care of the Estate grounds for Eddy Gibbs.

At the time of his death, Chuck was the oldest living Past Master of the Keystone Masonic Lodge 102 in Coffeyville, KS. He was a 58 year member and a member of the Scottish Rite in Fort Scott, KS.

During the 1970's Chuck and Dolores showed Paint Horses and traveled all over the country. He was especially proud of his horse, Duchess, who won the National Reigning Championship Title.

He is survived by his wife, Dolores, his sister-in-law Rosalie (Larry) Smith, Coffeyville, KS; nephew Lincoln Springer, Owasso, OK and niece Angela Molina, Wichita, KS. Two Goddaughters, Cindy (Kevin) Gant, Wilsey, KS and Stephanie (Thad) Wilson, Tulsa, OK. Preceding him in death was his Grandmother Lillian, his father, Ray, and his step-mother Ingaborg.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. with family greeting friends at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. A celebration of life will be on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Jamie Regis of Dearing Christian Church will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Boston Avenue Methodist Church, Tulsa, OK, the Keystone Masonic Lodge 102 in Coffeyville, KS or your favorite charity. Memorials can be left at the Funeral Home. To leave a special message for the family online, visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
