Cheryl Dianne Allison, 73, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, OH.
Cheryl was born on June 30, 1953, in Labette County, Kansas, a daughter of the late Vincent Love and Helen Joy Hopkins.
Cheryl dedicated much of her life to the nursing profession, earning her associate degree in nursing before receiving her anesthesia certification and working as a nurse anesthetist. She took great pride in caring for others and found purpose in her decades of service.
Outside of her career, Cheryl enjoyed camping, spending time with her beloved dogs and cats, and, most importantly, spoiling her grandchildren, who affectionately knew her as "Grammy" and "Grammy Cheryl". Following her retirement, she found joy in life's simple pleasures and treasured time spent with her family. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she enjoyed attending church and participating in her Sunday school class.
Cheryl leaves behind her loving children, Charity (Eric) Shereda of Petersburg, Ohio; David (Joslyn) Allison of Chicago, Illinois; and Jonathan (Jody) Allison of Bacliff, Texas; her cherished grandchildren, Kerri, Owen, Jonathan, Karter, and Grace; and her brother, Al Love of California.
