Cynthia “Cindy” Lee South passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Ascension St. John’s Jane Phillips in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Cindy worked at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for over 30 years in the ER department before retiring.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, her flowers and shopping.

Cindy and longtime life partner James Hartley enjoyed sharing life together until his passing in 2018. Cindy’s only child Lauri Austin and her husband John had cared for Cindy for the last several years as her health began to fail and she wished to remain at home.

Cindy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lauri and John Austin; grandson Andrew South; sisters Tammy Richey; Sandy and husband Eric Neussbaum; and one brother Randy South.  She was preceded in death by her parents and life partner James.
