Obituary

Clayton Matthew Vineyard age 51 passed away on July 9, 2026, at his home in Coffeyville, Kansas with his family nearby.

Clayton was born to Douglas Eugene and Janice Colette (Troutman) Vineyard in Independence, Kansas. Clayton grew up in rural Elk City, Kansas and attended school in Longton where he also graduated from. After graduation he attended K-State University and completed his education at Coffeyville Vo Tech obtaining his electrical license.

Clayton had one son, Dalton, who he was very proud of and expressed he was his and his mother LeAnn (Cornett) DeVore’s great accomplishment together. Though that relationship dissolved, their love for their son together remained.

Clayton was a hard worker, and his colleges will remember him most by his years at John Deere and Coffeyville Resources.

He also played as hard as he worked enjoying all the outdoors had to offer, he was a master shade tree mechanic, a jack of all trades and a master of most. He enjoyed spending time with his son Dalton and his friends, going on float trips, ATV Riding, and having a good time around a campfire. Ever since Clayton was a young man he has been fascinated with anything that had a motor and enjoyed the rush of speed.

Clayton is survived by his son Dalton, Sister Kimberly High and husband Dennis, brother Jared Vineyard and wife Jami, and his nieces and nephew that he thought pretty highly of Chantel Atkinson and husband Gradey, Kylie Graham and husband Corey, Katelyn Anderegg and husband Jacob, Tyler Vineyard and wife Meadow, Zachary Vineyard and wife Morgan and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his faithful German Shephard and best friend Bear.
