Dianne Mcdow

Dianne Marie McDow age 64 of Longton passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 28, 2019

Dianne was born in Boise, Idaho on May 31, 1955 to Howard and Velma (Moore) Dixon. She attended different schools as the family made several moves before ending up in the Wichita area. Right out of school Dianne began raising her family, she was blessed with two sons and three daughters. On February 22, 1980 she was united in marriage to the love of her life, William McDow. Over the 39 years the couple would enjoy many things together; camping, trips to Branson, spending time with children and grandchildren and her fur-babies. Dianne loved collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, but, of course, most dear to her heart was her family. Dianne had worked various jobs through the years, her favorites being Kopco and most recent the Cozy In Café. Her true passion in life was without a doubt caring for her family; Dianne has raised children for the past 49 years and cherished every moment of it. She will be remembered most for her sense of humor, loving spirit, her drive to brighten any situation, and her selflessness. She was a person that would go without to make sure those all around her didn’t.

Dianne’s memories will live on with her husband, William McDow, sons; Larry Robertson, his wife Jenifer and William “Billy” McDow Jr., his wife Jennifer, daughters; Bridgett McDow, Shannon Robertson, her husband Tim Brown, and Valerie McDow, her husband Jimmy Clarenson, brothers; Larry Dixon, his wife Pat and Gary Dixon, grandchildren; Kayla, Matthew, Nolan, Bradley, Kayci, Brittney, Zack, Seth, Alex, Jacob, Kristen, Daniel, and Miranda, and 4 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A celebration of Dianne’s life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Longton Christian Community Church at 2:00pm with Pastor Terry Marta officiating. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family also on Friday, beginning at 1:00pm.
