Dick Cunningham

Dickie Ray Cunningham age 72, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his home.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 15, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Oswego Cemetery in Oswego, Kansas under the direction of FordWulfBruns Chapel of Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Ron Garrison will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at FordWulfBruns Chapel from 5pm to 7pm. The family suggest memorial contributions be made payable to Salvation Army and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Dick was born on September 2, 1942 in Parsons, Kansas to Frank W. and Elnora Burggraf Cunningham. Dick attended school in Parsons. He served his country in the US Army entering on October 14, 1959 until he received an honorable discharge on October13, 1962. He worked for the Parsons Fire Department, before starting a thirty year career with the Union Pacific Rail Road until his retirement. On October 15, 1988 he married Blance M. Vest and she remains of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: son Rodger Shufeldt of Coffeyville, Kansas daughters, Jamie Green of Overland Park, Kansas, and Tatia brother, Bill Cunningham and wife Laura Cunningham of Oswego, Kansas sister, Sonja and her husband Carl Johnson of Parsons, Kansas sister in law, Gloria CunninghamTalbot grandchildren, Nicholas, Torrie, , Ashley, Kegan, DeTroy III, Taylor and Chloe great grandson, Samuel Shufeldt several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Jerry Cunningham.
