Douglas Albert Dewey

Douglas Albert Dewey, age 70 passed away unexpectantly at his home in Coffeyville, Kansas on June 20, 2025.

Doug was born to Dennis Albert and Shirley Ann (Schott) Dewey on March 31, 1955 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Doug was one of three children and grew up Coffeyville, graduating from Field Kinley Memorial High School.

Doug has had various careers over the years, his all time favorite job was at Wal-Mart as a door greeter where he had retired just a few years ago. He developed longtime friendships over his ten-year at Wal-Mart.

Doug is survived by his children Josh Dewey and wife Marlo, Emily Abel and husband Greg, Michelle Taylor and husband Sheldon, grandchildren Clayton Hood, Carli Welch, Destiney Scott, Traycer Maxson, Kagen "Gauge" Franklin and Ethan Peyton, great-grandchild Ember Scott. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings David Dewey and Janet Folk.
