Edith Yvonne Brown age 93, of Coffeyville passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at Windsor Place.

Edith was born on January 31, 1923 in Nelagoney, OK to Daniel and Gladys (Crisp) Hornback. The family made their home in Coffeyville in 1930 where she also attended school. After high school she met Doyal Brown and the couple was united in marriage he preceded her in death in 1969. The couple was blessed with three sons and a daughter. Edith found employment with NuWay devoting over 14 years of service until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, VFW Auxiliary, and the Heritage Club. Edith loved taking day trips with friends to go shopping or to the casinos. She also enjoyed trips to Branson, MO. Edith was a great hostess always cooking and baking for family and friends. She was a very generous and supportive friend. Above all, Edith was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother

Left to honor her memory are her sons, Larry Brown, Jerry Brown, and Gary Brown his wife Debbie, daughter Kelley Oneslager her husband Don, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Doyal, brother, D.B. Hornback Jr., sister, V. Juanita Hiatt, half-sisters Frances Kenney and Marie Pullin, and grandson Jerry Brown Jr.

Funeral Services honoring her life will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel at 2:00pm.
Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Monday May 30, 2016 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Chapel. The family suggests memorials be made payable to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or to the Shriners Hospital and they may be left in care of the Chapel.
