Edith Elma Kuehn age 88, passed away February 16, 2016 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Edith was born on May 19, 1927 in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma to Floyd Arvel and Virgie Lois (Frye) Yeubanks. Edith was one of 13 children, her family lived in several places in the surrounding area during her childhood, being the oldest of her siblings she like many of large families helped raise her younger siblings. On December 11, 1944 Edith married the love of her life, Harold M. Kuehn, while he was still serving the United States Army during World War II. Together they raised their four children in a God loving home where they resided for over 57 years east of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma.

In November 17, 1946 Edith was baptized and confirmed into the St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she served in the Pricilla Guild for over 25 years. Her heart for serving extended to her community as well, for over 10 years she served on the Snow Creek School Board, TOPS member for 20 plus years and sold Avon for over 15 years, an active member of the Snow Creek Home Demonstration Club, Bellvue Demonstration Club. Edith had an understanding of putting her priorities in order loving her God, family and community in just that order. Edith enjoyed gardening, her pet peacocks, collecting owls and a passion for music. Most of all she valued and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Edith is survived by her sons, Stephen H. Kuehn, Danny Kuehn and wife Sharon; daughters, Sharilyn and husband Dean Kastler, and Janice Summers, all of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; brothers, George Willard Yeubanks and wife Lorena, Ronald Lee Yeubanks and wife Treva all of Coffeyville, Kansas; sisters, Gloria Kuehn, South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Virginia Price of Coffeyville, Kansas; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Arvel and Virgie Lois (Frye) Yeubanks; her husband, Harold M. Kuehn; grandson, Michael Kuehn; brothers, Floyd "Sonny" Yeubanks, Carroll Yeubanks, Clyde Yeubanks, Bobby Yeubanks, Gene Yeubanks; sister, Mary Lou Maggard, Viola Kuehn, Margie Dean; and son-in-law, Jay Summers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Paul Rosburg officiating. Visitation will held on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 9am to 8pm with family receiving friends from 6-8pm at the chapel. The family has suggested memorials be made payable to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and may be left at the chapel. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
