Harold Kimrey, passed away on March 18, 2017 at his home in rural Lenapah, Oklahoma.
Harold was born on July 27, 1937 to Alva (Pete) and Allean (Banzet) Kimrey. He was a long time resident of Nowata County, in the Lenapah area along the Verdigris River; where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Harold was self-employed, cattle rancher and land owner since the 60's. He and his family had very helpful and nice neighbors, which he appreciated very much.
He is survived by his wife Mildred Lucille Kimrey, of the home they built and shared for 60 years east of Lenapah, OK. Patricia and husband Carl Shufledt II of Lenapah, OK; Deborah Kimrey and Russell Keener of Lenapah, OK; grandchildren, Carl Shufledt III, Rob Semtner, Valarie Thompson, Allen Thompson, and Brian Shufledt. He was blessed with seven great grandkids, that he thought the world of; brother, Peewee Kimrey and his wife Shirley of Bartlesville, OK, two nephews, Brian and Roy Kimrey and their families of Bartlesville, OK. He is proceeded in death by his Mother, Allean Banzet and Father, Pete Kimrey, a half-sister Donna Carol Kimrey; his son, Harold Dwight Kimrey.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Edna, Kansas, Pastor Wendall Abbott, First Church of God in Nowata will be officiating. Burial will take place at the North Edna Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas from Noon to 8pm. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm. The family has suggested Memorial Contributions be made payable to the Edna Library and may be left at the chapel.
