Harriett Marie Shaeffer 1918 2005 Harriett Marie Shaeffer, age 87, died August 15, 2005 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was born June 18, 1918 to Ray E. Boggess and Mabel G. Goss Boggess in Texas County, Oklahoma. She was a 1937 graduate of Texhoma High School, Texhoma, Oklahoma. She attended Panhandle Aamp; M of Goodwell, Oklahoma for 1 year. She married Orville Leo Shaeffer in January of 1973 in Guymon, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Shaeffer has also resided in Texhoma, Ok.; Amarillo, Tx.; Los Angeles, Ca.; Meade, Ks.; Dodge City, Ks.; McAlester, Ok.; Coffeyville, Ks. Mrs. Shaeffer was a homemaker when she retired. She also worked as a Dairy Farmer with her husband Orville. She also worked in a Grocery Store, Bank, Telephone Service, Dr. Office as well as a Hospital in the Accounting Dept. Her hobbies included drawing, crafts, water colors, swimming, oil paintings, reading, the outdoors and horse back riding. She is survived by two sons, Orville Ray Shaeffer of Misawa, Japan; Lewis Eugene Mac Shaeffer, Texhoma, Oklahoma; one daughter, Linda Lou Campbell, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters, Audrey I. Treece, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Billie R. Bair, Niotaze, Kansas; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren She was also preceded in death by her parents. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2005 at the Fairview Cemetery in Niotaze, Kansas. Rev. Deanna Fluck will be officiating. There will be a book signing at the home of her sister Billie Bair in Niotaze, Kansas as well as at the Graveside where family and friends will gather at the time of service on Monday. There will be no formal calling hours or visitation at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be given to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
