Jackie Glenn Gregory Sr., age 77, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 12, 2025, Coffeyville, Kansas.
Born on March 5, 1948, in Delaware, Oklahoma, Jack was the son of Benjamin and Ruby Evelyn (Allen) Gregory. He spent most of his childhood in the Delaware area, where he attended school until his family moved to Coffeyville during his teenage years.
Jack met the love of his life, Janice Lorene Lucas, and they were united in marriage on July 6, 1971, in Miami, Oklahoma. They shared a loving partnership that lasted 40 years until Janice's passing on July 27, 2011. Together, they raised two children, Joy and Jackie Gregory Jr.
Jack and Janice enjoyed traveling to various attractions and visiting extended family. Following Janice’s passing, Jack continued to uphold their tradition of family outings, accompanied by his son Jackie Jr. until Jackie Jr.'s passing on July 26, 2020.
Known for his generosity, Jack often prioritized helping others before attending to his own needs. He had a talent for striking up conversations with strangers, making everyone feel valued and acknowledged.
Jack's work life included positions at Morrow Foundry, Western Publishing, and USD 445 as a janitor. He ultimately retired after driving the iconic snow cone truck for Tex Ritter in Coffeyville.
