Jacqueline Gillman age 88 of Coffeyville KS passed away Wednesday August 6th, 2025 at her daughters home in Independence KS. Jackie was born in Winfield KS on November 21st, 1936 to Geraldine Martin (Williams) and Leo Martin.
She married Norman Artherton and had one daughter Kathleen Cook (Artherton). A later marriage with Billy Gillman gave them Michael Gillman, Debbie Roberson (Gillman), Dorothy Gillman and a step daughter Diane Wilson (Gillman).
She attended school in Caney KS and lived in various places before calling Coffeyville home.
Her full time job was being a wonderful homemaker, cook and mother.
The love she had for plants and flowers produced some of the most beautiful African Violets around. Meals were always a surprise with them consisting of anything ranging from squirrel or rabbit to homemade cookies or chocolate pie. She was a simple woman that dedicated her life to raising and loving her family. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren were the light of her life.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children as listed above, grandchildren Stacey Wilson, Erin LaBere (Wilson), Jeff March, Jennifer Dixon, Jessica Blaes, Justin March, Josh, Daniel and Cory Childers, Lucas and Bailey Gillman, 11 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday August 12, 2025 at 1 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., in Coffeyville with Pastor Jim Thornber of Journey Church officiating. Jacqueline will be laid to rest in Robbins Cemetery next to her late husband Billy. The family will be receiving friends on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 5 to 7pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. For those wishing to make a monetary contribution the family request those be made payable to the Alzheimer's Association, 1820 E Douglas Ave, Wichita, KS 67214 or contributions may be left with the chapel.
