James Fian Drake, Jr. 1927 - 2006 James Fian Drake, Jr., age 78, Coffeyville, Kansas resident passed away on February 12, 2006 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. He was born September 11, 1927 in Neodesha, Kansas to James Fian Drake, Sr. and Ethel Edna Epperson Drake. He attended School in Neodesha while growing up. On October 13, 1956 he married Phoebe Jane Darbe in Independence, Kansas at the Zion Lutheran Church Parsonage by Pastor Charles Nieman. He retired from the Union Gas Company after 37 years of service. Mr. Drake was a member of the St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Coffeyville, KS He is survived by his wife, Phoebe Drake of the home in Coffeyville; 1 son, Dennis Drake, Pearidge, Ar.; 4 daughters, Dianna Sue Hurlburt, Augusta, Ks.; Marsha Ann Brown, Rogers, Ar.; Janie Farris, Augusta, Ks.; Lou Trotter, Coffeyville, Ks. 15 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren 2 sisters, Erma Jean Drake and Phyllis Drinon both of Independence, Ks. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, Howard, 1 sister, Allie Drake. Calling HoursVisitation: Family and friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2006. Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Ks. 67337. Reverend Richard Peckman will be presiding. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2006 afternoon at the Neodesha City Cemetery, Neodesha, Kansas.
