Jannis Powell

Jannis M. Powell, 58, a resident of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away Monday, November 29, 2005, at Trinity at Terrace Park, Bettendorf, Iowa after an extended illness, while visiting her daughter in Davenport, Iowa. Jannis Marie Hestand was born January 11, 1947, the daughter of Cecil and Nova Weber Hestand in Coffeyville. Survivors include her daughters, Melissa Doug Laufenberg, Davenport and Marcy Manley Lyle Galloway, New Caney, Tx, four grandchildren, her father Cecial Hestand, Coffeyville, Ks, her sisters, Judy Tom White, Coffeyville, Ks and Joyce Don Lutz, Holden, Mo, as well as a sister-in-law, Monika Hestand, Coffeyville, Ks and numerous nieces and nephews. Her mother and brother, Jerry Hestand preceded her in death. Services to celebrate the life of Jannis M. Powell will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2005, at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Calling hours will be 1-8:00 Friday with the family present to greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m..
