John Dixon

John Edward Dixon, age 37, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma

John was born September 3, 1976 in Jerome, Idaho to Donald Kuper and Valeria Dixon. He grew up in Wendell, Idaho and graduated from the Wendell High School in 1994. John was an Eagle Scout at the age of 16. He worked at Demaray Funeral Home and with his grandfather on the Dixon Trail Crew every summer until 2000. John rode bulls professionally and in 1998 was on the television show Star Search as a country music singer. John then entered the United States Army.

John worked as a Truck Driver. On June 27, 2009 John married Juanita Jean Wheeler in Jerome, Idaho where they made their home until moving to Coffeyville, Kansas in August of 2010. John attended Independence Community College, was a Volunteer Fireman at the Dearing Fire Department, and also worked at Pizza Hut, McDonalds and drove a van for Renzenberger.

Survivors include his wife, Juanita of the home son, Alex Dixon of the home father, Don Kuper of Boise, Idaho parents Gene Charlotte Wheeler of Coffeyville brothers, Jon and Chris Kuper both of New York sister, Tara Kuper of Moscow, Idaho, sisterinlaw, Teresa and Mitch Bosteder brotherin law, Lewis Wheeler all of Gooding, Idaho, uncles, Walter Dixon of Wendell, Idaho and John Dixon of California and his aunt, Rita Strout of Gooding Idaho.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Valeria Jean Dixon grandparents, John and Gertie Dixon and one uncle, Steve Dixon.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dearing Christian Church in Dearing, Kansas. Pastor Jamie Regis will officiate. The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to the family to help defray the cost of funeral expense these may be left with the funeral home.
