Karen Jo Reagan Anderson, 50, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away early June 19th, 2015 from injuries sustained during an automobile accident.
She was born April 25th, 1965 in Homestead, Florida to Roy, Sr. and Mary (Knights) Reagan, and grew up in Denham Springs, Louisiana, where she graduated from Denham Springs High School in 1983. Karen would go on to earn her Bachelor's of Arts degree in Business Administration from Midway College in Midway, Kentucky, which - in combination with her interpersonal skills - laid the foundation for a successful career as an insurance underwriter and agent.
Karen had recently returned to work as an agent for Coffeyville Insurance Associates. She had been reestablishing business connections; attending Coffee, News and Networking (CNN) every Wednesday morning. She joined the Coffeyville Rotary and was looking forward to serving on the Chamber Board. Many mornings you could find her at Utopia getting coffee, at the office or at any number of local businesses around town building friendships. Karen loved the Coffeyville community so much she commuted from Tulsa daily just so she could work there. She touched many people in the Coffeyville community and will be missed by those who knew her.
In addition to her passion for people, Karen was passionate about political debates, visual media, and fashion. Karen was a devoted wife and mother who remained steadfastly loyal to husband Scott Anderson for 28 years, with whom she had two children: Laura Straka (husband Stephen) and Wyatt Anderson, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Other survivors include three brothers Jerry Reagan (wife Gina) of Crawfordsville, Indiana; Paul Miller of Starke, Florida; and Shane Reagan (wife Casondra) of Denham Springs, Louisiana; and her three sisters, Christy Reagan Blow (husband Bruce) of Covington, Louisiana; Lisa Miller Allen (husband Jeff) of Keystone Heights, Florida; and Kimberly Reagan Loveland (husband Shannon) of Live Oak, Louisiana. She is preceded in death by her father and her brother, Roy Reagan, Jr.
Cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service was held at Woodland Cemetery in Kentwood, Louisiana last Tuesday.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Doug Mund of Grace Fellowship Church will officiate.
