Katherine Weingart

Katherine Louise Weingart age 89 of Coffeyville passed away on October 21, 2017 at Windsor Place.

Katherine was born at Indian Village, Cedar Bluff area on March 7, 1928 to William David and Inez (Reavis) Brew. She attended school at Cedar Bluff and graduated as valedictorian from Bates School in Dearing. She married Leo Weingart on June 13, 1946. They made their home on a small farm west of Dearing. They moved into Dearing in 1951 where they lived until the passing of Leo in 2005. Katherine worked in various factories before going to work for Dr. Harold Sauder from 1965 to 1985. Katherine was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church and a member of the Alter Society Circle #3.

Those left to cherish her memory are; her sisters, Rosemary Miller and Wilma Mayernik, nephews, Larry Brew and David Miller, nieces, Kathy Kulesa (her namesake) and Vickey Arrigo Family friend, Mike Ashenfelter and dear friend Hollis Bradbury. Her brother, Laurence, preceded her in 2012.

Katherine now rests with her parents and her husband Leo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Holy Name Catholic Church at 10:00am, interment will immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm with the praying of the rosary will begin at 6:00pm. The family suggests memorials can be made payable to Holy Name Catholic School and they may be sent in care of the Chapel.
