Kim Delaine Hughey passed from this life on March 15, 2019 at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, KS.

Born on December 31, 1956 in Coffeyville, KS Kim spent her life in the Coffeyville area. Growing up in rural Labette County, she attended Angola Grade School and graduated from Labette County High School.

Kim will always be remembered for her gentle, loving nature and her love for family, friends and music. She was an exceptional pianist and keyboard player. Music was her passion. On June 28, 1991 Kim married the love of her life, Mike Hughey. Together they surrounded themselves with family and friends; they enjoyed listening, making, and recording music together.
Mike survives to cherish her memory. Others that remain to lovingly remember Kim are sons; Johnas Cross and wife Jessica of Nowata, OK and Cambron Hughey of Coffeyville, siblings; Diane Jericho, Monte Owens and wife Mary and Eric Jensen and wife Velena, all of Coffeyville, Dennis Owens and wife Jan of Omaha, NE, Jim Jensen and wife Peggy of Lucasville, OH. Her memory will be held close by all her nieces, nephews and other family members as well as a multitude of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and JB Jensen, and mother and father-in-law John and Betty Sullivan.

Honoring Kim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Her Life will be held on April 13, 2019 at 2 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made payable USD 445 High School Music Department, contributions may be left at the chapel. A private inurnment will be at a later date.
