Laura B. Walker age 75 unexpectedly passed from this life on February 3, 2020 at Windsor Place Home N Sight.

Laura was born on February 23, 1944 on the family farm in Angola to Frank and Addie (Taylor) McCartney. She attended grammar school in Angola and graduated from Altamont High School. After high school Laura joined the workforce; working for H D Lee in Chetopa, Western Publishing, and many years she treasured caring for children at the day care. She married the love of her life in 1968 Steven Walker at the family farm. To this union the couple was blessed with a daughter Stacy Isle. Together they enjoyed going to auctions, refreshing their booths at the area flea markets but most of all they shared a love for their daughter and her children. Laura loved sewing and completing many sewing crafts. She also loved her gardens both flower and vegetable. Laura would do anything for anyone that needed an extra hand, she was known as being sweet but yet she had a stern side if she needed. Some of Laura’s most cherished times was that surrounded by her closest friends and family.

Laura will be forever missed by her daughter Stacy Isle, brothers Clifford McCartney his wife Carolyn and Kenneth McCartney, sister Peach Newton her husband Tom, and grandsons, Dakotah Walker his wife Amy, Cody Isle his wife Julia, and Casey Isle.

She now rests with her parents, sister Sharmalee McCartney, and granddaughter Alishia.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Grace Fellowship Church at 2:00pm With Pastor Doug Mund officiating. Burial will immediately follow at North Edna Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Tatman Cancer Center and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
