Leone Ehart age 80 of Coffeyville, Kansas entered her eternal resting place on November 15, 2017 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Lynn Leone was born on July 6, 1937 in North Hollywood, California to Raymond and Etta Pearl (Spivey) March. As a young child she and her family relocated to Oklahoma living on Cherokee Indian reservations.
Leone corresponded through letters with the man that she adored and fell in love with for several years before their actual face to face meeting. Leslie and Leone discovered quickly after their face to face meeting that they were deeply in love and were married on May 23, 1953 in Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in Coffeyville where they have raised their children, attended and served in the Jehovah Witness Church. Leone was a very spiritual person with a personal relationship with her Heavenly Father reading her Bible daily and making sure she carried it everywhere she went. When she loved someone she loved with her heart. Those closest to her heart were first her heavenly father, her husband, her children, her grandchildren and friends. She enjoyed time spent with her children and grandchildren simply talking and brushing through her hair. In addition to spending time with her family, Leone enjoyed reading, sewing, learning new things, working on computer, and collecting over 100 tea pots and several elephants.
Those left to carry on her legacy are her husband, Leslie Ehart of the home, son, DeWayne Ehart of Independence, KS ; daughters, Terry (Theresa) and husband Steve Buchanan of Pittsburg, KS, Verna and husband Michael Myer of Humboldt, KS; sister, Paula Latham of Oklahoma City, OK; brother in law, Lyle Ehart of Coffeyville, KS; sister in law, Janice Ehart of Coffeyville, KS; Eleven grandchildren, loved as her three own step-grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents Leone was preceded in death by her sister, Ethel Hawley; brothers, Robert (Bud) March, Vernon March, Efton Ray March.
Funeral services honoring her life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 2 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS with Chuck Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends from Noon to service time on Monday prior to the service.
