Lorey Sue McCartney age 52 of Coffeyville went home with her Lord and Savior September 8, 2017.

Lorey was born on Mach 20, 1965 in Nowata, OK to Charles Arthur "Art" Tilton and O'dessie Betty Grizzle Tilton. She attended school in Nowata graduating in 1983. Lorey was united in marriage to John McCartney on March 20, 1986 in Miami, OK on her 21st birthday. Lorey attended church at the Crosstimbers Community Church. She loved working in her flower garden, crocheting, playing bingo, and collecting humming birds. Lorey was a very caring person that would always give what she could to make others happy. Her most precious memories were made spending time with her family.

Lorey's memory will live on through her husband, John McCartney, daughters; Brandy McCartney and Michelle Wharton, brothers; Charles Tilton and Richard Tilton, sisters; Marie Snider her husband Bill and Carolyn Sears, her husband Phil, brother-in-law Pat McCartney, grandchildren; Franchesca Wharton, Krysten McCartney, Korin Wharton, and Kaylee Wharton, nephews; Bryan McCartney, Tyler Shafer, Trenton Shafer, Garrett Ray, Will Snider, Lance Snider, Curtis Shafer and Wade Snider, nieces; Krystal Shafer, Amber Ray, Kelsi Beard, Samantha Beard, Taylor Shafer, and Noel Lee.

She now rests with, her parents, sister, Estie Lee, grandson, Zachery McCartney, uncle, Dick Bache, and nephew, Flint Shafer.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 2:00pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with Pastor Mark Wettengel of Crosstimbers Community Church officiating. Interment will follow the service at Spring Hill Cemetery north of Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the Crosstimbers Community Church Building Fund and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337.
