Lula Mae Ottesen 1915 - 2006 Lula Mae Ottesen, 90, Caney, passed away Monday, February 20, 2006, at the Caney Nursing Center in Caney, Kansas. Lula was born December 31, 1915, in Caney, Kansas the daughter of Roy E. and Minnie Hudson Williams. On November 8, 1982, she maried Otto Ottesen in San Luis Obispo, California. He passed away May 3, 1987. Mrs. Ottesen returned to Caney, Kansas and owned and operated the Caney Coffee Shop for a few years. Mrs. Ottesen also had owned and operated various restaurants in California in the 1970s. She is survived by: 1 Son: Timothy Iseminger Rackline, Ca. 1 Daughter: Cynthia Hill Sipple Atascadero, Ca. 3 Sisters: Rosella Gordon Prescott, Az. Edith Cassity Caney, Ks. Grace Ayers Caney, Ks. May Grandchildren and Great Grandchidren She was preceded in death by one daughter Sharon Harbeck. Mrs. Ottesen has been cremated. Her cremated remains will be entombed at the Los Osos Valley Memorial Park in Los Osos, California. Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home has assisted the family with the cremation.
