Martha Kelley was born February 25, 1942, in Coffeyville, Kansas, to Claude Franklin and Alice Irene (Vail) McKee. She attended Longfellow Grade School, Roosevelt Junior High, and graduated from Field Kinley High School in 1960.
She married James (Jim) Kelley in 1960 in Miami, Oklahoma. They moved to their present home in 1962, where they raised two sons, Ronald Dean and Rodney Wayne. Martha was a stay-at-home mom active in her sons' activities before re-entering the workforce. She served as a manager for Coastal Mart Inc. for 15 years, retiring in 2003. She enjoyed reading, word searches, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Juanita (Ben) Siebels and Wilma (Lewis) Powell.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jim; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald and Lora Kelley of Welch, OK, and Rodney and Kelly Kelley of South Coffeyville, OK; grandchildren, Roxie (Sam) Vail of Edna, KS, Christina Kelley of Miami, OK, Erin Warren of MO, Dustin (Catrina) Kelley of Welch, OK, Jason Kelley, and Justin Kelley of South Coffeyville, OK; great-grandchildren, Shane, Holden, and Layton Vail of Edna, KS, James, Myla, and Cole Kelley of Welch, OK, and Alex, Eli, Isaac, and Sylvia Kelley of South Coffeyville, Kloe and Cooper Warren of MO; and nieces, Donna Bell of Odessa, TX, Claudine (Gene) Reiner of Clarkston, WA, and Paula (Alan) Moody of Coffeyville, KS.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2pm at Pleasant View Church of God, 3689 NS 424 Road, South Coffeyville, OK. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 6 to 8pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS. Martha will be laid to rest alongside her parents at Elm Grove Cemetery, also known as North Edna Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Martha’s memory to either St. Judes, Pleasant View Church of God or Comforting Hands Hospice of Grove, OK.
