Merry Heaton

December 9, 1933 — January 9, 2019

Merry Heaton

On January 9, 2018 Merry Jovalene Heaton moved from her local residence to her heavenly mansion, built especially for her by her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was born on December 9, 1933, in Bethel, NM to Harve A, and Gladys Tobin Redburn. She was born again, when she accepted Christ as her savior and became a child of God, at the age of 13 at the Christian Church in Erie, KS. She dedicated her life to service of the Lord.

On August 16, 1976 she and her husband Grafton Heaton were married in Miami, OK. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1997.

She attended the Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO and served the Lord in secretarial and book keeping capacities in Cincinnati, OH and Indianapolis, IN. She also learned sign language and ministered to the deaf in Indianapolis, IN.

It is my desire that as you read this you will search your heart and if you have not already done so, you will accept Jesus Christ as your Savior, as Merry has, so that one day we can meet her in Heaven.

She is survived by one sister, Martha Hyatt, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She now rests with her grandparents, Phillip and Elizabeth Tobin, her parents Harve and Gladys, husband Grafton, and three brothers, Harold, Ray, and Rollo Redburn, and sister Freda Lindquist.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:30 am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Burial will follow at Shaw Cemetery in Shaw, KS. To leave the family a message of condolence, please visit www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com
