Mildred “Millie” Marie Pursley passed from this life on August 17, 2022, at her home in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Millie was born on March 28, 1926, in Liberty, Kansas to Raymond and Myrtle (McKellips) Trimble. Mille was the last surviving child of twelve children. She grew up in the Liberty, and Coffeyville area.
On January 28, 1968, she married Charles “Chuck” Edward Pursley in Miami, Oklahoma. Chuck preceded her in on August 17, 1975. Mille continued to reside in Coffeyville after Chuck’s death.
Mille worked several jobs over the years but being a homemaker was most important to her.
Millie is survived by her nieces, Evelyn Russell, Katherine Eytcheson, Dorothy Johnston, Sissy Soderboom, Patti Lewis, CIndy Martinez and nephews, Bill Ernest, Johnny Tremble, Leroy Trimble, TIm Sack and Duke Trimble, numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and friends. In addition to her parents, and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jim, Bob, Russell, and Merl Trimble, Ethyl May Longgrear, Mary Sack, Peggy King, Bonnie Richardson, Goldie, Ada, and Fay Austin.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, Kansas. The family will receive friends at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville from 5 to 7pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2022.
