Minnie Doris Anderson 1924 - 2005 Minnie Doris Anderson, age 80, former Coffeyville resident died on the morning of March 19, 2005 at the Foxwood Springs Living Center in Raymore, Missouri. She was born October 11, 1924 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Herman Theodore and Alice Josaphine Tuxford Burr. She was born and raised in the McKeesport, Pennsylvania area. She was a 1941 graduate of McKeesport High School. She moved to Coffeyville to live with her aunt. She was a 1943 graduate of Coffeyville Community College. On September 9, 1946 she married Jack William Anderson in Coffeyville. They lived in several other areas including Phillipsburg, Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri following Jack's retirement they moved to Mesa, Arizona. He preceded her in death September of 1992. Memberships include: Past member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 112, First Christian Church all of Coffeyville. Other memberships include East Mesa Christian Church in Mesa, Arizona where she served as an Elder and President of the Congregation. Hobbies include: involvement in community service as well as her Church activities. Also knitting, crocheting, bridge club, volunteer librarian were some of her enjoyable activities. Survivors include: one son, Bill Anderson of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren, two great grandsons; one brother, Gary Burr, Coffeyville; one sister, Carol Ann Padgett, Coffeyville. She was also preceded in death by one son, David Lee Anderson; two brothers, DeWayne Burr and Theodore Burr; one sister, Jeannie Burr. Calling hours will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2005 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford, Wulf, Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 24, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the First Christian Church of Coffeyville co Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford, Wulf, Bruns Chapel.
