Myrtle Lou Bond, age 64, of Caney, Kansas died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Acute Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Graveside Services celebrating Myrtles life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Wann Cemetery with the Pastor Ronald Butler officiating under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2014 with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.

Myrtle Lou Bond was born March 1, 1950 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Doyle and Lina Mae Reader Parret. She grew up in Wann, Oklahoma and graduated from the Wann High School. Myrtle attended college in Bartlesville and in Arizona.

On November 24, 2000 Myrtle married Fred R. Bond in Wann, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in rural Dearing, Kansas and then Delaware, Oklahoma before moving to Caney, Kansas in 2005. Myrtle was a homemaker and a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband Fred Bond of Caney, Kansas one daughter Angi Tattum of Wann, Oklahoma, two sons Tony Benson of Taft, Oklahoma and Kelly Benson of Lawrence, Kansas step daughter Jennifer Douglas of Coffeyville, Kansas, step son Heath Bond of Appleton, Wisconsin mother Lina Mae Parret of Coffeyville, Kansas, two sisters Shelly Benson of Wann, Oklahoma, Barbara Scott of Jay, Oklahoma and one brother Marion Parret of Coffeyville, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister Patricia Grindle.
