Pauline Carter, 91, loving mother and grandmother of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013 surrounded by her four loving daughters and family.

Pauline was born on September 26, 1921 in Weber Falls, Oklahoma to Ernest and Zona Archer Bell. She grew up in Coffeyville where she attended Cedar Bluff elementary school and graduated from Coffeyville Memorial High School.
Pauline was united in marriage to the love of her life, Lewis M. Carter on June 23, 1938 in Joplin, Missouri. Lewis was a pipefitter and the couple traveled all over the United States for his work. The couple made their home in Coffeyville, Kansas where Pauline was a home maker. She loved taking care of her family.

She enjoyed the time they spent traveling, antique and doll collecting, her cats and dogs but most of all she enjoyed her family and caring for them.
Surviving to honor her memory are her daughters, Donna Langereis of Chandler, Arizona, Sandra Brisendine of Plaquemine, Louisiana, Judy Gavrilys of Coffeyville, Kansas, Marita Wheeler and husband, Lauren of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma sisters, Wilma Meitler of Coffeyville, Kansas, Maxine Scott of Pittsburg, Kansas several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgreatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis parents, Ernest and Zona infant son, Ronald Carter brothers, Ralph and Robert Bell and sister, Lorraine Nickels.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at FordWulfBruns Chapel with Chaplain Mike Graham officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville, Kansas. Friends may call on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions can be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice these may be left with the funeral home.
