Peggy Ann Bauer, age 64, of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma died Saturday, January 3, 2015 at her home in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma

Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

The family has suggested memorials to the River Cross Hospice and contributions may be left at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

Peggy was born February 21, 1950 in Topeka, Kansas to Raymond and Cora (Banka) Hafenstine. She grew up in Alma, Kansas and graduated from the Wabaunsee High School. Peggy then graduated from Cosmetology school in Topeka, Kansas. She owned and operated a hair salon in Alma, Kansas before moving to Coffeyville, Kansas in 1972.

On April 12, 1974 Peggy married Charles Bauer in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home until 1992 when they moved to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Peggy worked at Jan's Hairstyle in Coffeyville before going to work at Halliburton and then Dixon for 22 years. Peggy loved her grandchildren and Grand Lake.

Survivors include her husband Charles of the home; two sons Richard Tolbert and wife Sonya of Topeka, Kansas, and Paul Bauer and wife Karla of Coffeyville, Kansas; one daughter Barbie Johnson and husband Steve of Independence, Kansas; two brothers Donnie Hafenstine and wife Janet of Alma, Kansas and Bob Hafenstine and wife Connie of Topeka, Kansas; one sister Patty Volmer and husband Bob of Coffeyville, Kansas; one sister-in-law Lila Hafenstine of Alma, KS; 12 grandchildren Jennifer Wright, Crystal Johnson, Timmy Botts D.J. Kessler, Autumn Bauer, Mackenzie Bauer, Jaden Bauer, Brycen Bauer, Scott Warner, Austin Hogan, Ethan Tolbert, and Preston Tolbert; and eight great grandchildren Novalee Wright, Kohen Wright, Jaycie Johnson, Jailynn Johnson, Johnna Johnson, Madalynn Botts, Alexis Harrington and Riley Warner. She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Cora Hafenstine, and one brother, Calvin Hafenstine.
