Phillip Russell

Phillip Ray Russell, 62, Dearing, died Sunday, March 5, 2007 at Indian Meadows Care Center in Overland Park. He was born Feb. 18, 1945 in Coffeyville, the son of James Edward and Lillian May Knowton Russell. He was raised in Coffeyville and attended public schools here. Mr. Russell worked for Haliburton as a welder for several years. Survivors include two sons, Michael Russell and Timothy Russell, both of Dearing; a daughter, Corina Carroll, Coffeyville; a sister, Goldie Gates, Humble, TX; a brother, Delbert Russell, Topeka; two grandchildren, Brandon Jones and Brian Malotte; one niece and two great-nephews of Humble, TX. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Friday at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf- Bruns Chapel with interment in Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Russell will lie in state after noon on Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6-8 pm.
