Ramon W. White

Ramon William White, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, went to his eternal home on November 10, 2025, at the age of 83 at his home in Tyro, Kansas. Born March 13, 1942, in Independence, Kansas, to William Orville “Chub” White and Mary Elizabeth (Hanlon) White, Ramon lived a life marked by integrity, grit, and a deep love for family and friends.

Ramon was a cowboy through and through—an avid horseman with a keen eye for quality horses, a trader, rancher, team roper, and well-known breeder of exceptional horses who loved and lived life with determination. Known for his sharp eye when selecting a good horse and his knack for making a good deal, the RW brand became a symbol of quality and pride. He raised horses with looks, brains, and ability—true performers on the ranch and in the arena.

Later in life, Ramon made the most important decision of all: to follow Jesus. And like everything else he did, he went all in—100%, no halfway. His faith became the foundation of his days, and he lived it boldly and without compromise. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

A proud veteran, Ramon honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Airman First Class while stationed in Okinawa, Japan. There, he earned a black belt in karate—an achievement that reflected his focus, discipline and determination.

After returning home, Ramon attended Emporia State University, where he met the love of his life, Gloria J. (Noakes) White. Their 56-year marriage was a beautiful testimony of love, faith, and devotion to family that grew stronger every year.

Together, they built a life rooted in hard work and shared values, creating their legacy at the White Ranch just east of Tyro.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, of the home; son Jason White and wife Amy of Frontenac, KS; daughter Mollie (White) Bechtelheimer and husband John of Bartlesville, OK; daughter Pam (White) Wilson and husband Mike of Caney, KS; and son Tim Adee and wife Steph of Neodesha, KS. Ramon was a proud grandfather to Jared White, Ali White, Sean Bechtelheimer, Zac Locke, Nathan Locke, Micah Marshall, Joshua Wilson, Shane Wilson, Traci (Wilson) Talbot, Shanna Adee, Taylor (Adee) Denney, Trenton Adee, and Tiffany Adee; 20 great-grandchildren; and countless others blessed by his mentorship and friendship.

Also survived by his lifelong best friend and identical twin brother, Damon O. White of Fall River, KS; loving sister Beverly Hight of Coffeyville, KS; numerous nieces, nephews, and many close friends who shared his passion for horses and his steadfast love for Jesus.

He’ll be welcomed home by those who preceded him in death: his parents Chub & Mary White, his sister Mary June Null and brothers Bob White, Donnie White & David White, and nephew Mike White.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
