Richard W. Henry, age 40, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly from Caney, Kansas, passed away peacefully at the Maple Care Center after a brave battle with health challenges.
Born on August 9, 1985, to Meredith and Connie L. (Williams) Henry in Tulsa, Richard grew up in Caney, where he proudly graduated from Caney Valley High School. His thirst for knowledge led him to the Talking Leaves Job Corps, where he received formal training in Electronics. Richard had a spirited love for life—especially when it came to cheering on his favorite football team, the Steelers, and enjoying the adventures of Batman films.
Throughout his life, Richard faced significant health obstacles, including a traumatic brain injury from a brain tumor, diabetes, and years of dialysis. Yet, he approached every challenge with remarkable strength and resilience.
Richard was predeceased by his loving parents, Meredith and Connie Henry. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathryn Henry, and three beautiful daughters: Aaliyah Lynn McDermitt, Harley Quinnzelle Lynn Henry and Jozlynn Lorraine Henry.
He is also cherished by his cousin, Chantell Camp, and her children, Jackson, Demetrious, and Addilynn Camp.
Cremation is being handled by Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel of Coffeyville. In honor of his wishes, Richard will be laid to rest alongside his parents at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville.
