Robert "Bob" L. McBeath, age 79 passed away on November 14, 2016 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas surrounded by his five daughters.

Bob was born on April 26, 1937 to Cameron and Josephine (Swartz) McBeath in Russell, Kansas, they moved to El Dorado Spring, Missouri when he was 3 years old until he graduated High School. In 1956 Bob moved to Wichita and attended Barber College graduating in February of 1957. He worked in Pittsburg, Kansas for a short time until moving to Coffeyville in April of 1957 where he was employed by Leon's Barber Shop on 8th Street until he relocated to the 9th Street Barber Shop where he continued to work up to his retirement. Bob's original Barber Pole still hangs at the door of the 9th St Barber Shop.
In 1958 Bob married Helen Elizabeth Jackson, the couple shared 18 years together with their family in Coffeyville; of that union six children were born, Jackie, Sherry, Tammy, Julie, Tina and Robert. The couple later divorced. On September 8, 1980 Bob married Katherine "Kathie" McBeath in Miami, Oklahoma, they shared 34 years of marriage together making their home also in Coffeyville before her passing on May 21, 2015.

Bob was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, traveling to Canada and Alaska to hunt and fish. He hunted Deer, Turkey, Cariboo, Moose, Bear, Dall Sheep, Duck, Dove, Geese, and Quail he also enjoyed Pike Fishing, he truly loved to Deer and Turkey hunt. To prepare for hunts Bob would walk for miles to be in shape. If you ever visited the 9th Street Barber Shop you could see his love for hunting and fishing by the mounts on the wall and the magazine available for reading.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Jackie Everett and her husband Glen, Sherry Messner, Tammy Christmore and her husband Danny, Julie Northup and companion Rodger Shufeldt, Tina Daniel and husband Nathan all of Coffeyville, Kansas; step daughters, Patti Imlay of Coffeyville, Kansas, Dee Ann Tesh of Fredonia, Kansas; step-son, Jimmy Knisley of Carterville, Missouri; twenty-two grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by, his parents, Cameron and Josephine (Swartz) McBeath; his wife Kathie; half-sister, Gay Hazelwood; half-brothers, Paul John and Cletus McBeath; and son, Robert L. McBeath Jr.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00 am at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from noon to 7pm with the family receiving friends from 6-7pm. Interment will follow at Robbins Cemetery, west of Coffeyville, Kansas. At Bob's request memorial contribution may be made payable to Coffeyville Friends of Animals, contributions may be left at the chapel.
