Roger Casurole, 83, passed away at his home in Coffeyville, KS, August 1, 2026.
Roger was born in Cardale, PA, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Narchus) Casurole February 9, 1943. He grew up in Pennsylvania. Roger moved to Coffeyville to play football from 1961-1962 for the Red Ravens. Roger went back to Pennsylvania and worked for the Robena Coalmine. He later graduated from California State College in PA in 1969 with a bachelor's degree in science and education.
Roger married Becky Sue Hurst in 1963. From their marriage, they had two sons, Preston Casurole and Jason Casurole. Roger later married Patricia Lucas Casurole in 1980. From their marriage, Claire Casurole was born. The two later divorced.
Roger worked for the Coffeyville Coop Refinery, where he retired after 35 years. He was head of the safety department, and retired as the safety director.
After retirement, Roger didn’t sit still too long. He would travel all over for high school football games, created a website for high school athletes to view their sports stats. He was a coach to lots of youth sports, provided equipment to them, and many of the rules he implemented are still used! He was an EMT and a fire training teacher. He would drive the Red Cross van to the sports games. Roger would also drive and volunteer his time at the fair with the Red Cross. Roger also loved his music.. and he liked his music loud.
Roger loved to spend time with his family. He leaves behind his son, Preston (Carmen) Casurole, and daughter Claire (Mike) Casurole, grandchildren; Shea, Rain, Macsen, and Griffin, and great-grandchildren; Saige and Soli, Brother Carl (Phyllis) Casurole, Sister Joann (Jim) Avoli, and sister-in-law, Josie Casurole. Roger is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth, son, Jason Casurole, and brother Eddie Casurole.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2026, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville. Funeral service will be at Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Drew Dellasega officiating on Tuesday, August, 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. with burial taking place at Fairview Cemetery.
