Ronald A. Patton 1939 - 2005 Ronald A. Patton, 66, of Coffeyville, KS died Wednesday October 26, 2005 at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK. He was on his way to the sale in Parsons and just didnt make that last auction. He was born April 16th, 1939 to Ralph Patton and Iva Bushnell in Columbus, KS. He was raised in Chetopa, KS, and graduated form Chetopa High School where he was President of his class all four years, the day after he graduated high school, he joined The United Stated Army. He was a 1962 graduate of Oklahoma State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Ron taught school for a short period but decided that his first love was ranching. He managed a commercial feedlot in Western Kansas before moving to Coffeyville. He worked in Coffeyville as a rancher and cattle broker. Ron was also a 32-degree Scottish Rite Mason with membership at the Caney Masonic Lodge and a Shriner with membership in the Mirza Lodge of Pittsburg, KS. Ron met and married his best friend Linda in 1973; They had each other from Hello. Ron is survived by his wife of 33 years Linda, three children, Chad Patton of Scottsdale, Arizona, Heather and Del LeVasseur of Cave Creek, Arizona. Wendy and Brian Newberry of Coffeyville, four grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Carrington, Chance, and Case Newberry of Coffeyville and bull dog Gypsy. Services are 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2005 at Tyro Christian Church. Burial and Mason Rites will follow at Robbins Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday October 28, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel on Woodland Avenue, Coffeyville, KS. The family requests memorials to Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund and can be left at the funeral home or sent to the home at Route 4 Box 165 B Coffeyville, KS 67337. Ron taught us many things throughout his wonderful life. But most of all, he taught us how to love eachother unconditionallly and to live our lives with NO regrets. To know him was to love him. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
