Rosalie Riggs, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior June 9, 2016 in Meade, Kansas. She was born on January 24, 1933 to Virgil and Beulah (Long) Trotter in Coffeyville, Kansas. She graduated from Coffeyville High School and married the love of her life, Earl Floyd Riggs. They were married May 10, 1952 in Bentonville, Arkansas. Rosalie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved flowers, antiques and making her home beautiful with them both. She attended First Baptist Church in Liberal, Kansas and was an active member.

Rosalie worked as a head cashier at Gibson's in Liberal several years before retiring and moving to South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. There she continued making her yard and home beautiful with her gardening. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Rosalie lived in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma until about one year ago. At that time she moved to Lone Tree Retirement Center to be closer to her children.

Surviving to honor her memory: her daughter Linda Hulstine and husband Rod of Andover, Kansas, son, Shawn Riggs and wife Luz of Liberal, Kansas; granddaughters Amy Turk and great granddaughters Alisa and Nia of Warsaw, Indiana, and Melissa Meade, husband Brian and great grandson Nicodemus of Wichita, Kansas; Grandsons Jacob Riggs, wife Shanae and at grandson Noah of Goddard, Kansas, and Morgan Riggs of Liberal, Kansas.
Rosalie is preceded in death by her parents, brother Jimmy, husband Earl, one granddaughter, five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services honoring her life will be held at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel on Monday June 13, 2016 at 10:30am with Pastor Conn Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to Eastside Baptist Church of South Coffeyville, OK.
