Sandra Jones

Sandra K. Jones, 61, of Altamont, Kansas passed away Wednesday, May 28th, 2013 at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas.

Sandra was born on December 9, 1951 in Parsons, Kansas to Walter D. Allen, Sr. and Sylvia J. Vance Allen. She grew up in Altamont, Kansas where she completed her education at Labette County. Sandra completed her Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy in 1976 at Kansas University in Lawrence, Kansas.

In May of 1976 she enlisted in the United States Army, she earned the title of Captain while serving her country overseas. Sandra was honorably discharged in February of 1982. During her time overseas she married the love of her life Wallace Quinton Jones, Jr. on May 8, 1981 in Pirmasens, Germany.
The couple made their home in Altamont, Kansas. In 1996 Sandra went to work as an Occupational Therapist at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri.

Surviving to honor her memory is her husband, Quinton Jones of the home step sons, Wallace Q. Jones III and wife, Amanda of Amarillo, Texas, Brandon Jones, Michael Jones and wife, Jennifer all of Copperas Cove, Texas eleven grandchildren one great grandson brother, Walter D. Allen, Jr. and wife Marilyn of Independence, Kansas and two nieces Courtney and Becky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sylivia Allen.
