Saundra Adams

Saundra Sue Adams age 80 of Nowata, Oklahoma passed away on October 22, 2017 at Jane Phillips Health Center in Nowata, Oklahoma.

Saundra was born in Independence, Kansas on January 1, 1937 to Homer Hastings and Louisa (Sessions).She attended Grammar School at Independence and graduated from Field Kindley High School in 1955, she also attended Coffeyville Community College. Saundra worked at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center and retired from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.She was united in marriage to Bill E Adams on September 27, 1957. The couple made their home in Liberty, Kansas where they operated a farm for many years, and they just celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary.Saundra enjoyed cross word puzzles, crocheting, reading old westerns, and had a great passion for loving her family and friends.

Saundra's memories will live on with her husband, Bill of the home, daughters Sheila Russell and spouse Kelly, Audrey Burnett and spouse Greg. Son Dan Adams and wife Robin and her sister Alma George. Grandchildren Kristina and Mike Bedore, Kari and Daniel Chee, Kelly Ryan and Rio Russell, Kenny and Brittany Russell, Whitney and Aaron Lyle, Kelsey and Devin Douglas, Chase, Brooke and Paige Adams and seven great grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends.

She is now at rest with her parents, son Chad and sister Clarice Dubec.

A service to celebrate the life of Saundra will be held on Thursday, October 26th, 2017 at 2:00pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with Dr. Dean McNamara of First Baptist Church Officiating. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Chapel from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The family suggests memorials be made payable to the National Kidney Foundation and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.
